Short bio

Virginia Queijo von Heideken started at the Research Division in 2007. She completed her Ph.D. studies at the Institute for International Economic Studies in Stockholm in 2007. During the academic year 2003 she visited New York University. Virginia’s main research areas are monetary economics, credit markets, empirical macro and DSGE models. Before moving to Sweden in 2001, she worked as an economic analyst in the private sector in Uruguay for four years. She has also taught statistics and monetary economics at the undergraduate and graduate level.
